Down Low (106-132): This should be a big strength for the Raiders with some great returners and some youngsters looking to make an immediate impact. The big name down low is junior Michael Conklin, who enters the year with 76 career wins through his first two seasons. Conklin is a 2-time District Champ, and was last year's Region 7 Champ in a loaded 126-pound bracket. Conkln has twice made the trip to AC, and will be gunning for his first trip onto the podium in 2020. Also back for East down low is sophomore Joe McCullough, a District champ and 23-match winner in his freshman season, junior Eddie Totten, who won 22 matches and placed 2nd at Districts and 6th at Regions, and another returning starter in sophomore Gavin Singer. That experience along with promising newcomers sophomore Zachary Gorlin, and freshmen Nicholas DeLorenzo and Michael Rankin, give the Raiders good depth and talent down low.

In The Middle (138-160): 14-match winner, junior James Racanelli, and sophomore Ariel Lopez, are the returning starters in the middleweights, that will be looked to provide some leadership through their experience as East will be breaking in several new faces into the lineup here. Among the newcomers looking to crack the lineup are junior Ryan Cole, and freshman Anthony Lawrence.

Up Top (170-Hwt): There's a pair of starters back in senior Diego Leoner and junior Oscar Serrano. This will be Leoner's 4th year in the starting lineup and he could really be primed to have a breakout season for East, which would be a big boost for this group. He can also provide that valuable senior leadership. Senior Pedro Marcelo and sophomore David Casas got a lot of experience last year, and will be looking to step up to the next level with the year of seasoning under their belts.

Season 40 for the only coach the Raiders have ever known, Warren Reid, sees the Raiders with some very good talent in this room. The lowerweights in particular are capable of big things this year and are going to rack up some wins, but if the middleweights and guys up top can really step up, the Raiders can have a very good year. The A-South slate will be brutal, as usual, and their are several other strong dates on the schedule, including two traditionally tough tournaments in the Hunterdon Central Tournament, and the Sam Cali Invitational, that will have this team battle-tested and primed for the post-season grind.
