East returns a ton of experience with ten starters, eight of them seniors, back in the fold. The Raiders will be hoping that the experienced starters, as well as a solid cast of newcomers, can help them climb back up the ladder and snap a string of four consecutive losing seasons.
Senior Rich Lewis, a 2-time Region champ and 2-time State medalist, returns and is the anchor the lower half of the lineup. He is one of four returning senior starters for East down low, giving them some great veteran leadership for returning starters AJ Curtis and Ryan Wasilick, both sophomores, as well as several newcomers expected to see time in the lineup.
Like the lower half of the lineup, there will be four returning senior starters. Armando Leonor is coming off a 23-win season in which he qualified for the Regions with a 3rd place finish in the Districts. He kind of flew under the radar in 2012, but seems ready to have a big year in 2013.
Any team with this many experienced seniors in the lineup is obviously going to be a tough out. The A-South slate is always brutal, but the Raiders are focused on getting the program up to its old standards. The goal for the team is to improve the level of their experienced wrestlers, while developing their young talent, and looking to reverse the trend of losing many of the close matches they dropped last year.

East returns a ton of experience with ten starters, eight of them seniors, back in the fold. The Raiders will be hoping that the experienced starters, as well as a solid cast of newcomers, can help them climb back up the ladder and snap a string of four consecutive losing seasons.
Senior Rich Lewis, a 2-time Region champ and 2-time State medalist, returns and is the anchor the lower half of the lineup. He is one of four returning senior starters for East down low, giving them some great veteran leadership for returning starters AJ Curtis and Ryan Wasilick, both sophomores, as well as several newcomers expected to see time in the lineup.
Like the lower half of the lineup, there will be four returning senior starters. Armando Leonor is coming off a 23-win season in which he qualified for the Regions with a 3rd place finish in the Districts. He kind of flew under the radar in 2012, but seems ready to have a big year in 2013.
Any team with this many experienced seniors in the lineup is obviously going to be a tough out. The A-South slate is always brutal, but the Raiders are focused on getting the program up to its old standards. The goal for the team is to improve the level of their experienced wrestlers, while developing their young talent, and looking to reverse the trend of losing many of the close matches they dropped last year.
